A return to food as medicine for deep digestive healing
In today’s noisy world, health & healing has become so complicated…
Conflicting advice, endless protocols, expensive supplements, foods to avoid, things to track, measure, and get “just right”
It can leave you feeling overwhelmed… and unsure of what your body actually needs
For generations, food was simple.
It was grown, raised, harvested, hunted and prepared with care.
And your body knew exactly what to do with it.
Digestive healing doesn’t begin with more complexity.
It begins with returning to what your body already understands. This is a remembering that goes beyond even our lifetimes.
Â
Before protocols
Before supplements
Before trying to fix everything at once
We come back to the ancestral way, because your body cannot rebuild on foods it does not recognize.
And when you begin to nourish it with real, ancestral foods…
Everything starts to shift.
This is a self-paced program designed to help you rebuild your digestion through simple, nourishing meals rooted in ancestral wisdom.

Finally, solid bowel movements after a lifetime of digestive issues! Along with my digestive issues I also struggled with acne, and a knee surgery that just would not heal. After working with Heather my bowel movements are finally solid (they have been soft for as long as I can remember!) my knees are better and my acne is finally clearing.

A Wealth of Information
Heather is a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable nutritionist. I've learned so much from
her, especially around digestive health for both mom and babe. She is definitely a wealth of
information.
This is a self-paced program that you can move through at your own rhythm, with lifetime access.
If you’re wanting extra support, there is an optional upgrade where you can gather with me for a monthly live group call and connect with other women in my Nourished Woman community.
No. This is about learning how to nourish your body through real foods your great-grandmother would recognize, not rigid rules or restrictions. As you move into this ancestral way of eating, your body will clearly let you know which foods it feels deeply nourished by and which ones it does not.
This foundational program is designed to support your body in calming inflammation, reducing bloating, and rebuilding digestive strength at the root. You’ll learn how to prepare some of the most nourishing, easy-to-digest foods in a way that feels simple and doable.
It’s a beautiful place to begin if using food as medicine is new to you, and a grounding place to return to if you’ve been caught in the overwhelm of protocols.
Many women come to this work after trying multiple approaches. This offers a simpler, more foundational path.
When you come back to this way of eating, your body often begins to speak more clearly…
and your next steps become much easier to understand.
This work is rooted in ancestral foods (not health trends) and focuses on building a strong foundation first, rather than layering on complex protocols.
When it comes to calming digestive inflammation and rebuilding strength… The Ancestral Way is where we begin.
Heather Woodruff, CNP CGP
Heather Woodruff is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Certified GAPS™ Practitioner, a Kitchen Medicine Keeper who supports women in healing their digestion through the medicinal foods and ancestral wisdom of their great-grandmothers.
Heather’s work is rooted in slow living, ancestral nourishment, and the belief that digestive symptoms are not a sign the body is broken, but a form of communication inviting deeper care. As women heal their digestion, that healing naturally ripples into their homes, families, and communities.
When she’s not teaching or cooking, Heather can be found wandering farmer’s markets, talking to her garden, planning women’s circles, or moving gently through life with her brilliant husband and spunky daughter by her side.
